Banana pi BPI-M3 will send free sample for test

Hello. banana pi.

I’m interesting pc-fi. I have heard so much about banana pi. It’s very good single board computer.

But I didn’t have no chance to use.

Fortunately I found this chance, so, I would like make portable mini pc-fi.

Nowday pc-fi is big and need plug. I think with banana pi, dac, porterble battery and big storage sd

will make possible to porterble pc-fi.

Usally listening to music, sometimes nas for multimedia, another somtimes use for ftp sever.

I feel good just by thinking.

I have an empty my blog. but I will write hard first review on the my blog.

I hope give to me this chance.

Thank you for reading.

Hi,

I am currently in my 2nd Bachelor year of the course Networks, Systems and Security. Each year we are given the freedom choose and work on an ICT-related project. To give you an example, during the 1st year I have worked with a colleague on a multimediacenter/NAS/navigation system with a custom interface on 2 Raspberry Pi 2 units (1 for backend/server purposes, 1 for use as client).

If given the opportunity to use the Banana pi BPI-M3, I would be more than happy to make a comparison review and I would expand the project by also using the Banana pi BPI-M3 as a monitoring & home security server. All the details of this project will be available on my own website, which will be hosted on the Banana pi as well.

Thank you in advance for this opportunity and for your reply.

Kind regards,

Adam

Hello, I am an system administrator and I will be happy to test some stuff on powerful low power computer, like Performance benchmark: CPU, I/O usb disk network transfer… Some system test : NAS, media server, (samba, xbmc like) mail server… I can write about my test on my own site or on some wiki.

Thanks.

Hello sinovoip,

I am a developer residing in germany. Beside giving Open Source Hardware assembly workshops I am developing Virtual Worlds utilizing the Metaverse framework ‘OpenSimulator’. Right now I am running an OpenSimulator server on a Raspberry Pi 2 (jessie armhf) and would like to test the Real-time 3D application on the M3.

Some of my websites: https://www.manupool.de http://campus.auge.de

I am looking forward to hearing from you. Regards, Marcus A. Link

Hello Team,

I will made some performance benchmarks (CPU, I/O, USB, disk, Network transfer) and will publish this results (with your permission). I can compare the results with other devices, like Raspberry Pi2, Banana Pi and so on. I am an system administrator and we use some systems as NAS, Media Server, WebServer… You can ask me, it you need more details. I am interested to receive a example.

Kind regards, Mathias

Hello, I am trying to get off of the ground with a currently. It is a very immersive virtual reality project that could use some horsepower in a small form factor. The 28 GPIO Pins would be great for all the sensors that I would have to interface with. I currently work full time and I am getting through college part time. This would be a great project to supplement what I am learning in college. Thank you for being so generous and giving me a chance to possibly get a sample!

Hello! I use banana PI as home media server - smplayer (1080p, 5.1 sound, OSD - subtitles - all working!) big HDD, torrents, tinc VPN, IR remote control, DLNA, nginx. OS based on debian. I would try to do the same with BPI-M3 - video hardware acceleration, 5.1 sound via HDMI, OSD And I want to try to replace several old computers at my work (make thin clients - RDP, but may performance device will be enough for a full-fledged computer) I promise to write, how I did it. I am interested to receive a example.

Best regards, Vladislav

Hi,

I am a senior network and Linux Engineer with an ISP/sysadmin/security background and work at the moment in a university with 20k people, write for a Portuguese technical newsletter with thousands of subscribers, and I am finishing a FreeRadius book. Would be interested to write an article about the new banana Pi boards and pitting them up against the raspberry pi, testing Linux on them, maybe trying to get FreeBSD to run on these boards, try to see if they are suited for all-in-a-box RADIUS/eduroam servers, recommend them for students thesis, and also investigate if they are suited to develop a product for Europe for increasing privacy and security in the net.

Hi, I’m a SBC spanish enthusiast and I’ve been working with RPi v1 & v2, BPi-M1 and other SBC. I’m also a Weather Station enthusiast and I’d like to test pywws-software on BPi-M3 so I’m interested in a sample. Best regards, SanTeleco

Hello!

We are a university team working on making a PLC style controller for industrial setting on a micro-computer. We would be very interested in a sample of the M3, and if the M3 performs well, we would likely buy more units for production use.

We are very active in embedded systems areas, and have contacts with major companies.

Thanks!

Hello and good morning from Germany I would like to test some performance values: routing, VPN, TOR, hidden services, Wire Tap and also some Bitcoin related protocols. I work as a network analyst in the public service and you can reach my private Bananas (235+ days uptime) using http_proxy and VPN over http://br0s.de Thanks in advance Glenn

Greetings i’m so impressed by the banana pi (got BPI M1) I’m trying to create a wearable peace of technology unlike most consumer products today The BPI M3 will provide enough power, so i can do further testing & development and finish the prototype! 4klyd

Hello and good morning I test products and I create tutoriels on website, Youtube : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7lUBdPu3lUGUheQZ6YQJww website : http://www.chalk-elec.com You can send a free BPI-M3 for tests.

Looking forward to your reply

Hi,

I have a blog ( http://grzegorzdrozd.pl/ ) but it is about php development in general. I would like to receive sample board for two projects that I have in mind:

  • I have not working hi-fi set from philips with display, speakers, button etc. Board is fried. I would like to remove original one - replacement is very expensive - and replace it with sbc + hi-fi on top of it. Of course I have considered original raspberry but lack of connectivity is a deal breaker. I would love to use Banana Pi and test its compatibility with additional extensions - like wolfson audio card or hifiberry or Pi-DigiAMP+ running on for example volumino. Added bonus for you
  • second project is for now just in design state. I will evaluate sbc but for now just a few are meeting my criteria: speed, all-in-one bluetoth and wifi, small form factor and compatibility with pi extensions - mostly gpio shields. I will run it on kickstarter so I will definitely talk with you about bulk order

I have R pi 2 and Nvidia Jetson Tk-1 as a android based home console. I already have Banana Pi BPI-R1 ordered to be a home smart router and I can’t wait for it

Hello,

We have an IoT platform https://www.devicehub.net and we are constantly expanding our hardware support, we would be interested in testing the board and writing code samples and post tutorials on https://www.hackster.io/devicehub-net/projects .

Let us know if you are interested, Thank you, Constantin

Hi, I have experience with IoT, making new drivers and repairing kernel issues. I olso want to experiment with Banana and nRF24, but I don’t want to change anything in my actuall Banana server, so BPI-M3 is great oppourtunity to work with nRF and other hardware devices which can be usefull for Banana community.

Regards Darken

i want BPI-M3 working with development of quantum computer

If I can get a Banana pi BPI-M3 for trial, I shall write a article in HK famous forum HKEPC http://www.hkepc.com/ to promote and advertise this great product, and highlight the powerful feature, such as 8Core / 2G RAM compatible with Android 5.0 and Linux , this is killer of raspberry, and time enough I will try the thin client project in the M3 and post the instruction and performance.

Hi,

First about me: I’m a student in electronics & IT and I can promote your Product around my university and to all the companies I’m involved in.

What I want to do with your new board: I want to use the M3 as the heart of my own tablet, connect an 433 MHz Modul to it, an SSD and some other goodies.

First I will build up a proper UI for my tablet (Linux / Android) Than I will go into controlling 433 MHz power switches and after on I will try to use the Bluetooth modul to connect to my own SmartWatch (Arduino based) and maybe forward / receive notifications from my phone over ble.

I’m also engaged in the Kernel Hacker Bundle from the upcoming competitor C.H.I.P. and have some experience with Linux Servers and Rasp and also a Banana Pi M1

It would be super cool when I can get a sample, already trying to get one over Alibaba, but with no success so far!

Keep on Rocking Germany

I have already the first generation of Banana Pi M1! and have testest a lot of thinks. I would like to test on the new BPI this feature
