We have over 100 bpi-1 boards, a lab, and a serious staff.
This board has promise, However we will need at least two boards for any serious testing, three would be better for connectivity.
Consider releasing an identical board without the bluetooth and wifi chip for security purposes as well.
Would like to write a blog about performance between Banana Pi Pro and Banana Pi M3 for Seafile and Samba for external hard disk connected SATA and USB
I would like to test the capabilities of the M3 by creating a multiple ROIP interface allowing remote operation of multiple radios over a single internet connection. Possibly adding streaming video to allow radio operators to visually confirm the frequency and mode of operation of the radio. ROIP functions could be linked via Echolink or an independent network. I do not believe the idea of multiple radios over a single computer has been done before and I feel the power and capability of this unit will support the successful operation.
I work wih Raspberry Pi B (512MB),Raspberry Pi B+, Raspberry Pi 2, Orange Pi Mini and Banana Pi M1.
I will really like to got an exaple of the BPI-M3 for review. Iām member og Digitalhuset.net and Digsat.net and will then make a review an of the new board for the Scandinavian market for you.
Hello there!
I would really like to grab a BPi-M3 board to be able to start the port of Firefox OS to it!
In fact, I need the board and FFOS to be able to run my project on it: Iām building a Smart Fridge Manager, that aims to help people managing the content of their fridge in a smart, connected and modern way, with the ability to add add-ons like notes app or music app on it. This is why I need a mobile operating system, and so why Iāve choosen firefox os. Why not Android? Because android is way too common, weāre searching for something new. Moreover, apps development -especially for the design part- is done quicker on FFOS, because itās using HTML/CSS as app programming language!
If would be really awesome and so nice of you if you guys can help us building up this project by providing us a hardware platform like this one!
Cheers.
Hello!
I am an information security researcher interested in free sample for my project of autonomous rogue access point for pentesting needs. I have an experience in making such systems on Raspberry Pi 1/2 and currently working on one with BPI-M2. I am always looking for compact board with highest performance that will expand my projectās functions. All I need from compact computer is linux support, USB support, LAN support and preferable WLAN support. And of course performance, performance and performance again. With my boards I am using USB-wlan adapters and USB-LTE-modems. My goal is autonomous remote controlled system capable of hosting wireless access point and gather network information. If M3 will support my projectās setup - it will be used in constructing commercial information security complex to replace Raspberry Pi 2 I am currently using for it.
Although Iām new here, I own Raspberry Pi B+.
Iām openSUSE member and I run all my devices with openSUSE.
Right now I use a Raspberry pi as seedbox and an IRC Bouncer.
I would like to create an ARM board with Asterisk, PBX etc. Unfortunately Raspberry Pi B+ isnāt the right ARM board for that.
I did many other projects at my page (some in Greek).
My blog has many visits since many open source project planets see my posts.
Hi,
Iām a computer-science professor based in Iran. I have nearly 260 new computer science students each term. My students used rpi2-b as the platform for their projects this term, and rpi-b+ the terms before, but some were not satisfied with the performance. Iām personally testing the current boards in the market, and I came across BPI-M3 which I find interesting.
I would also post the reviews in our monthly magazine, which is given out free of charge to all of our students.
I would appreciate to get a free sample to test it out.
Cheers.
Iām interested on getting a sample of BPI-M3. Iām trying to implement some king of switched communication matrix between Voip and Digital Radio Networks oriented to civil security environments (PMR, Tetra), ā¦
Other projects are more tipical:
Router / Storage Server / Firewall / network Media player
Telephone Call Firewall / discrimination system (donāt let inbound calls if not previously autenticated)
Hi!
I used Banana Pi & Raspberry Pi for USB redirection module for Hyper-V, microservers, RC cars.
Want use with thermographic camera & web camera for analyze the flow of people at high temperature.
I hope Banana Pi M3 provide the necessary performance.
My blog (English/Russian)
Hi
With university āSoftware Defined Radioā project weāve been working on implementing DAB/DAB+ receiver in C++.
Now for my engineer thesis I want to run it on Single Board Computer. BPI-M3 spec look very promising for this task, as decoding Digital Radio signal requires lots of computing. Improving his project would allow more people access digital radio without dedicated device
@sinovoip@lionwang MIT research group would love to test BPI-M3 for in vehicle telemetry, and video capture. We are currently using a M1 and its great, but having issues with video and I/O due to other system demands. The octacore of the M3 should hopefully solve this.
Can you send a unit out to test? We would purchase many for field trails if it all works out.
Would be greatful to receive B-Pi M3 sample. Want to make vehicle project running LED lights and media center including Windows 10 in the future hopefully.
Iām young C and JAVA developer. A year ago I started learning with microcontrolers. I started from the UNO, a few created Ardunio acting robots and controllers, but I got tired. For a month looking for efficient micro computer to create a mini pc with your own overlay, which will make it possible to work with Windows programs and the appearance of the same overlay will make it possible to easily work on the large display.
And when will I receive my BPI-M3 will help you by recording film unbox and high performance. And provides it to different groups on Facebook dealing with micro-computers.
I am thinking about few projects with Banana PI. I have some experience with Python and C# programming (mostly to cooperate with marine electronics).
What I would like to do in the nearest future:
Find the best solution to connect device with marine electronics systems (collect all necessary data like GPS log, engines fuel flow etc. or ship stability calculations)
Try to implement some fuzzy logic algorithms and check performance in ship autopilot decision support system
Iāve been designing a āsmartā guitar that includes a touch display to give the player endless sound possibilities utilizing dozens of effects and amp models all at the touch of your finger. The operating system is linux based and would be released as open source but Iām stuck in the development phase as the current boards I own arenāt powerful enough to make the GUI run smooth. This board sounds like the board I have been searching for to push me towards completion. I would love to help advertise your product and the unique ideas that are powered by it!
To have an opportunity to test one of these as a free sample would be absolutely amazing! Thank you for doing such a promotion, itās an awesome idea! I really hope to get one of these!
Iād like to try the bpi-m3, Iām actually using a M1 for trying pre-alpha Centos 7 arm version (which works well actually). I can do the same for m3.
I want to make the bpi my home mail/web server, and explain people how to make it, because itās a really good low energy solution.
Iād like trying the same on bpi-m3.
Another distrib I want to create is a minimal motioneye install to make surveillance system.
