WiringPi run as normal user

Hello! I need to run WiringPi as normal user since ROS can’t be runned with sudo. I tried to follow this guide: https://dissectionbydavid.wordpress.com/2013/10/21/raspberry-pi-using-gpio-wiringpi-without-root-sudo-access/ but I can’t find any gpio files. Any help is appreciated.
