Just like many other OpenWrt boards also the BPi-R1 was recently switched from using swconfig based setup for the Ethernet switch to use (upstream) DSA driver instead. The goal is to get rid of swconfig at some point.
Unfortunately I do not own the board any longer and hence cannot test the updated OpenWrt image. Please download, decompress, burn to SD card and test the image below:
Existing configuration from older OpenWrt will not work, you have to start from scratch.
