Looking for a working Android Image with root

Hello, I am looking for a working Android Image that allows root access.

My BPi-M2 is currently running the (kinda buggy) 4.4 KitKat image, but I really need root access & did not manage to root it manually.

It is really bad that there is no such image available even years after the release of the bpim2.
