HDMI 1080p with BPI-M3

Hi,

I’m new on this forum. I’ve problems with HDMI with is only in 720p. Can’t have 1080p displaying. I’ve tried with severals linux distrubutions.

I’d like to use 1080p.

With the rasbian distribution, can I use the config.txt file like RPI to configure hdmi ? I take img here : http://www.bananapi.com/Download/1/#modal15 (raspbian Jessie).

script.bin is the configuration file that you should edit and set it to HDMI 1080P. If you don’t want to mess with script.bin you can pick any of the two here(see below) and test with your distro. Just save the file in case you need it to restore HDMI to 720P.

Both script.bin are set to HDMI 1080P:

Hi,

I’ve tryed with files that here : https://github.com/avafinger/OV8865_OV5640_dual_camera_A83T and with a file generated with fex2bin. Still in 720p with that seems to be a negative overlay. border of image is not present… Could you confirm to me that I’ve to change the script.bin that is in /boot directory ? Could you tell me where I can find information about the content of the script.fex file that is used to generate the script.bin file ?

I use my own image but if i recall correctly is somewhere in /BPI-BOOT/…/bpi-m3/…/script.bin (down the tree). Search: http://linux-sunxi.org/Sunxi-tools http://forum.armbian.com/

and information about FEX file can be found in the BSP: https://github.com/BPI-SINOVOIP/BPI-M3-bsp/blob/master/sunxi-pack/chips/sun8iw6p1/configs/BPI_M3_720P/sys_config.fex

But if you change the correct script.bin i am positive it will work!

ops: https://github.com/BPI-SINOVOIP/BPI-M3-bsp/blob/master/sunxi-pack/chips/sun8iw6p1/configs/BPI_M3_1080P/sys_config.fex

Ok, not working for me… I’ve modifed the sys_config.fex, regenerate the script.bin, put it in /boot but I’m still in 720p… Maybe you could share with me your img file ?

Ok, I’m wrong. With my computer display, I’m in 1920x720, my display can support 1980x1080… My HD television does not work in 1080p with BPI-M3, only in 720p. My RaspBerry 2 and 3 work well in HD… I’ll see what to do later because I’m a bit lost at this point.
