I have running raspbian on the bananpi M4. The issue i have is the SD card of 7G is almost full . I could use e.g. 32 G for test , but the pupose is to running my system on emmc Is there a lite version like you have with the raspberry ( no desktop integration")

one only light weight distro i found was a ubuntu server

It’s difficult for bpi or any other opensource board manufacture to create and maintain all most popular OS, libs or apps, opensource developer is too few, but opensource user and their requirments are too much.
