BPI-M1 HDMI causing eARC soundbar to lose connection to TV

Hello,

I am having the issue described in the title. I can unplug the HDMI from the BPI-M1 and the soundbar gets recognized by the TV again. I would like to keep this setup so that audio from the BPI-M1 can use the soundbar.

What can I do about this?

EDIT: I have solved the problem through hardware using a CEC-less HDMI adapter. Am still curious if there’s a software solution.
