Can we get v1.1 board physical size measurements before release? I’d maybe like to make a case for it in blender. I’d also like to know how hot it gets(under load), if I might need to include vents/heatsinks/a fan.

(bpi team) #93

OK ,i wll update DXF file Monday. size is same as BPI-R1

(bpi team) #94

Banana pi BPI-R2 source code open on github

I can’t find any datasheets for that IC, do you know whether this is a unmanaged or managed switch?

(peter.r.volkov) #97

Are there any news on the release date? when we can order one?

This R2 looks very interesting … Is it possible to receive free samples?

greetings from Austria

(moore liu) #100

it is a managed switch and supports most common features except “port trunking”. furthermore, mt7530 has upstream dsa driver and you can find openwrt swconfig driver below https://dev.openwrt.org/browser/trunk/target/linux/ramips/files/drivers/net/ethernet/ralink/mt7530.c?rev=43194

(bpi team) #101

BPI-R2 is 7623N with HDMI , and we just sale it at 85 USD .

(bpi team) #102

yes , we can send a free sample to you when we instock.

(the_bao) #103

I know you sell it 85usb, but it’s not in stock now. This is a problem for who wanna buy at the moment. That mt7623a board has only 512MB ram, nand 128MB and too expensive

#104

Thanks in advance … I make a subdomain for R2 with my experiences and possibly small forum

Greeting

(Frank W.) #105

what are the requirements for a free sample? how far is the progress with the core-functionality (router,access-point with internal wifi-adapter) is there a manual on how-to install (debian/raspbian) on eMMC?

btw. you have a typo on your site http://www.banana-pi.org/r2.html:

Quad-code => Quad-Core and btw. Bananian is dead. refer to https://www.bananian.org/news#the_end_-_2017-04-02

(Frank W.) #106

why not posting it here?

i think its more useful, if all infos/discussion will be collected here

#107

Here too - my friend, but on my website I will write it in german :sunglasses:

German is not my native Language
