Unable to create SD boot image Windows

Hello All,

Admittedly I am a newbie to Banana Pi but don’t think I’m completely hopeless.

I’ve been following the instructions to the T for creating the instructions for windows at the quick start link.

Short story long I install the SDcard Formatter from the link and it doesn’t install the same version. I noticed in the illustration that it is SD Formatter V3.0.0.0 but the link installs V4 something. The V4 version does not allow for the following selections.

*In the “Options” menu, set “FORMAT TYPE” option to QUICK, “FORMAT SIZE ADJUSTMENT” option to “ON”.

I assumed at first this wasn’t a big deal however when I move on to the win32 Disk Imager my 16GB SD card says it’s only 6.93GB and not big enough for the Image. I’ve tried multiple SD cards with the same result.

Is there something different I can try with Windows? My apologies for what seems like a really dumb issue but I am completely confused how something so simple can be taking up way too much time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

Can you please try the tool rufus to make bootable disk? you can find the tool from the link: https://rufus.akeo.ie/

Please download the ubuntu image from below link: Google drive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KvVln42OTXeNUOpendfMgKMFNhBmIR60/view?usp=sharing311 Baidu drive: https://pan.baidu.com/s/1o8R25N888

And then decompress it, the final image is about 7GB, using rufus to program this image to SD card.

Thank You!!! That worked on the first try. I have used Rufus before but never thought of that.

Thank You for the prompt response!
