Trixie don't boot

Almost certainly does Bananapi M5 - Armbian

I do not buy it that the glitch is the u-boot provided by johang, which I use.
If you use a questionable u-boot (which is your BIOS,) you will run into a myriad of problems.
Nor do I think the issue is the dtb for the VIM1 (2017,) M5 (2020.)

I surmise that the trixie kernel is not ready, amongst other things.
When “trixie” is released, it will work, as I have stated in the reportbug stable bookworm works.
Without question Armbian is a most excellent tool indeed, particularly for newbies to sbc’s, however it’s good to understand that it does not work by magick.
