They are SFP+ but compatible with SFP.
They are not 100% backward compatible and some SFP modules (such as TP-LINK SM410U) do not work as expected with the BPi-R4. This is because SFP+ apparently mandates that the module should only be supplied with power if Moddef0 signal is pulled to ground. I have a 10Gtek DAC (CAB-10GSFP-P0.5M) and a H!Fiber (AXS85-192-M3) SFP+ Modul and i can’t get them to work with the BPI-R4 and OpenWRT any hints to get them runing.
