Very interesting indeed.

Infix’s userspace looks like VyOS. The CLI looks very similar in style. The project is relatively new. First release was in 2023. BPI-R4 support, for example, was added in April 2026.

Probably need another five or so years to mature.

Also, IMHO, all such similar projects complete on GUI as well as CLI. My personal preference is CLI. I don’t care much about GUI but other users surely will have a different opinion.

And then these projects compete on the kernel which dictates how fullest a piece of hardware is put to good use. Very few projects work on their own kernel unfortunately. Unsure where the kernel in Infix is pulled from.
