I have an issue with the debian image from the docs, when I try to flash it on an micro sd card I have the message “Missing partition table” and “It looks like this is not a bootable image. The image does not appear to contain a partition table, and might not be recognized or bootable by your device.”. I had the same issue with both the BPI-W3_armsom-w3-debian-bullseye-xfce4-arm64-20231204.img and the BPI-W3_armsom-w3-debian-bullseye-xfce4-arm64-20241115.img. I also tried to recompile the image from the github but I had the same issues. I can still flash on the micro sd card, but the sbc doesn’t not boot. I’ll add that I didn’t had this problem with the ubuntu image, and was able to boot on it.
Debian systems are compiled using the SDK provided by the manufacturer, and they have their own tools for burning SD cards. They do not support Balena. You can refer to our documentation here: 2. Flash Image | ArmSoM docs.
We are currently attempting to code a BSP that can be compatible with Debian and Ubuntu systems.
Thanks, it worked, now I can continue working on it. I was able to put a kde on it but I have some issues with the displays, HDMI isn’t working great, and Display port is like a bit zoomed in, so I don’t have acces to the bottom task bar.
