M.2 2230 post on recent batches

Hi,

There’s been some discussion on the OpenWrt forum about the 2230 post on the OpenWrt One. I’ve received a router which has no 2230 post attached to the PCB. A 2230 post is included with the bag of screws but there’s no way to attach it to the board; none of the screws fit. Others have also had this problem. This seems to be a change from earlier batches which had the 2230 post attached, not seperate.

Can I ask: is this a known issue? How are customers expected to use a 2230 card? It seems disingenuous to continue claiming the board supports 2230 M.2 cards when there’s no way to use them with the board.

Thanks,

rah

OpenWrt can use the 2230 SSD, but there are no fixed screw holes on the board. Therefore, when using it, it might be necessary to weld it in place before being able to screw it onto the 2230 SSD for fixation.

Do you work for SinoVoip?

Use a 2230 to 2242 extension?
