Bit of an odd question, but is the BPI-MT7615 802.11 AC WiFi module supported on the BPi-R4?

Theoretically, the hardware supports it, but the driver is heavily tied to the system, requiring numerous modifications and a huge amount of work, so it’s not highly recommended.
Before i got my 7990 and 7916 i used the 7615 on a r4, it works just fine with no issues besides loading the drivers, for full functionality you will probably have to load an eeprom, bpi shipped it without for some reason…
If you still havent bought one i can highly recommend a 7916 instead for much better value, i got my asiarf cards from 524wifi, works great
Could you clarify this a bit please? What issues were you getting loading the drivers? What do you mean by loading an eeprom?
