I would like to as if following certifications available for banana pi R4:
CE Marking (including EMC, LVD, RoHS, and WEEE compliance)
FCC Certification (for the U.S. market)
UL Certification (optional but recommended for electrical safety)
RoHS Compliance
R-NOTIFICATION (for selling in non-EU regions like Russia)
WEEE Registration (for proper disposal and recycling)
I would appreciate it if any of you could share your experience or guide me on the necessary steps to ensure my product complies with these certifications. Specifically:
I can’t speak for Banana Pi, but only from my own point of view. CE certification only applies to finished devices, i.e. end devices that do not require further assembly. Since Banana Pi only supplies the mainboard here, this falls under “kit”, which has to be assembled with other components to form an end device. A “kit” does not require certification. If you develop a finished product from this kit, it is your job to take care of the CE certification, as you are the manufacturer at that moment. Mainboard manufacturers (MSI, etc.) have their devices CE certified, but they also have corresponding sales margins. Such certification costs money. And the BPI-R4 is also labeled as a “developer board”. Correct me if I’m wrong.
I am not sure about the kit but I think to sell it with developed system embed or service as final product in Europe and some countries like US
It need some certificates to be suitable with country lows
Again I am not sure about these information but as long as I know it required for sell the product
