Hey everyone, I’m reaching out because I’m hitting a wall with an order I placed during the Black Week sale on AliExpress, and I desperately need to know if anyone else is in the same boat, especially those who ordered the R4-Pro router. I bought it from the official store, SinoVoip Co.,Limited Banana Pi Store. The issue is, the seller seems completely unwilling to ship it. They created a tracking number days ago, but the package hasn’t budged. What makes it extra frustrating is that other orders I made at the exact same time—like a GPON stick and some Ethernet cables—actually arrived at my door yesterday. I’ve tried multiple times to talk to the seller via chat, but they just won’t reply. When I checked the listing, I saw they’ve increased the price and still show stock, which leads me to believe they simply don’t want to honor the discounted Black Week price, which is truly poor form.
This isn’t just about a discount for me, the original price of the router is above the personal customs limit in my country, and only by using the Black Week coupon was I able to get the total cost just below that threshold. If they cancel this or don’t ship, I’ll lose my coupons and, more importantly, I won’t ever be able to legally purchase the item again due to those customs rules. I’m really hoping the seller sees this here, as they’re ignoring me on AliExpress chat. Has anyone else had this specific issue with the R4-Pro or this store recently? Any advice on how I should handle this next would be hugely appreciated.

I ordered 8 days ago before than you and tracking hasn’t updated yet. The seller just created the label. How long did it take for yours to start moving?
I’m experiencing the same thing, I placed an order on 19th of November, Last update was 24th of November (Awaiting flight).
I also ordered other stuff (In the same order) and that arrived not that long ago.

@furkan I think you’ll be fine. The initial sale was clearly marked as “pre-order” on their official store but they were unable to do so on AliExpress. My own unit took 1-2 weeks before it was shipped. It has just reached the country and should arrive in a couple of days for me. Order from Nov 14.

Sharing the seller’s message for those having trouble with their orders:
‘Hello, we will arrange shipment for you. Currently, there are some issues with the product that require rework and testing at the factory, so it will be slower than expected. We apologize for the delay and ask for your understanding.’
If it’s just a delay, that’s fine of course. But does this mean the units delivered earlier are defective? It’s very confusing. I hope I receive a unit without any hardware defects. It would also be good to know how long we’ll have to wait.
I would also like to know about “the technical defects with the shipped device”, mine arrived much earlier but due to work and some personal commitments I haven’t managed to fully play around with it yet.
It’d be good if the people from SinoVoid can give us some clarifications about those units that had to be reworked (i.e. some serial numbers affected or something on the likes) or whether this is simply that specific seller not wanting to be made accountable for their delays and trying to throw them under the bus.
I understand your concerns. The previous products were fine. It’s just that for the new batch of products, production testing and factory testing are still required. Please don’t worry. If there are any quality issues with the product, we will handle them for you.
