Help with Configuring BPI-Wifi6 Mini as a Repeater

I’m new to OpenWrt and have recently purchased a BPI-Wifi6 Mini. I want to configure it as a repeater for my main router.

Current Firmware Version: TGP 3.1.0 Kernel Version: 5.10.138

Here’s what I’ve done so far:

  1. I navigated to the ‘Network’ > ‘Wireless’ page and scanned for available 5G networks on radio1.
  2. I found my network, entered the passphrase, and set the Mode, Channel, and Width.
  3. I clicked ‘Save and Apply’.

However, I’m unable to connect to the main router, and I see that there is no IP assigned to WWAN in the interfaces.

Could you please let me know if there’s something wrong with my configuration or if it might be an issue with the firmware version?

Thank you for your assistance!

The current wifi SDK can’t support repeater mode. it’s radio1 can only work on AP mode. we never verify if STA mode can work fine.

What a pity! I thought it would be a good replacement for the BPI-R3 Mini since it’s the same size and cheaper.

Will there be future efforts to support and verify the STA mode for radio1?
