Banana Pi BPI-R3 Mini Is it possible to install an SSD DIMK into the modem port?

Bpi-r3 m.2 key-b slot is usb only,no sata and no pcie. I do not know a m.2 ssd using usb only

You have usb cable input…then you need a keyb2usb adapter too

If you want to use the JMS583 (USB3.1 gen2), then the usb2.0 port on the ‘modem’ port is not a really good option. The USB3.0 port on the back will give you much higher speeds.

You can simply use an external usb SSD.
