Found a link that publishes the latest OpenWrt firmware for the BPI-R4

I have discovered a Telegram channel that regularly publishes OpenWrt firmware from the master tree. The channel is called “mwan3” and can be found at the following link: Telegram: Contact @mwan3

The channel is run by a user named “mwan” who is a developer for OpenWrt. The firmware that is published on the channel is built using the latest code from the master tree and is therefore considered to be unstable. However, it can be useful for testing new features or for users who want to run the latest version of OpenWrt.

The latest firmware was released today and can be found at the following link:

I have tried the firmware from OpenWrt Firmware Selector, but it has too few applications. Users in special countries need a high-end version.

You can request a custom build with any package you want in the firmware selector

Some of the applications I need are not maintained by OpenWrt, so custom firmware can not meet my needs.

I don’t want to sound too alerted, but, first of, who ever mwan is, he or she is not an OpenWrt developer according to [OpenWrt Wiki] About the OpenWrt/LEDE project .

Plus, if you want recent snapshot builds, the OpenWrt project itself offers them on our download servers – there is no need for 3rd-party builds: Index of /snapshots/targets/mediatek/filogic/

The packages feed on GitHub - openwrt/packages: Community maintained packages for OpenWrt. Documentation for submitting pull requests is in CONTRIBUTING.md has a quite relaxed policy when it comes to add packages. As long as there is no obvious legal/license issue, we generally accept everything which is useful and maintained software. So, what ever you believe is missing, please simply open a pull-request to have it added.
