To be honest, if you use LuCI (the web interface), it might be even easier for beginners! The hardest part is just opening the terminal in the first place (lol). Once you get past that, it’s almost just copy-paste.

It seems that the modem successfully establishes a connection, but then a kernel panic occurs afterwards. Is the power supply voltage sufficient? For reference, I am using a PC-VP-BP143 AC adapter, as described here:
