eMMC Image Installation Fail - Fastboot 'charmap' Exception

Hello, I am trying to flash the stock Biandu OS image on the eMMC of the BPI-F3 using the titanflasher software, but am getting the following error. Does anyone know what I can do? I get the same error on using all the three Biandu OS files provided. I am on a Windows 11 laptop.

Hi, I need more debug log，Follow these steps:

  1. download flashserver.exe command tools form here.
  2. Extract the flashing zip file.
  3. Move the ‘flashserver.exe’ command-line utility into the directory that contains the unpacked files.
  4. Execute the command line ‘./flashserver.exe --debug’ and select the index of the device to flash.

Hello! Thank you for offering to help and sorry for the delay in replying.

I was able to successfully install bianbu-23.10-desktop-k1-v1.0-release-20240530222811 using the flashserver.exe file that you provided. I have no clue what the issue was and why titanflasher didn’t work. I had started using the board by booting using the SD card, but I’m glad I can finally use the on-board eMMC.

It would be good to know what the issue with titanflasher is, though, because that doesn’t work and is listed as the only way to interact with the eMMC on the official web site. (It would be good to have a link to flashserver.exe and its usage instructions on the main page for emergencies and as an alternative!)

Even using the flashserver.exe file you provided caused some errors (which is why I have attached the log below), but the flashing succeeded nonetheless and it hasn’t causes any issues so far. I have been able to connect to the network, update Bianbu OS, use SSH, and have been able to install and use Git as well.

Hi，The error messages contained in the log you provided are normal debug messages. I suspect that you might be using an older version of the titanflasher. You can download the latest version v1.0.33-beta from here, which should resolve this issue. Thank you .

Hello!

I am having the same issues, however I cannot download the lasted ver of the tool from 进迭时空开发者社区 , as it seems to go to a blank page

as I do not seem to be able to get flashserver.exe either from https://developer.spacemit.com//resource/file/images?fileName=flashserver.exe

Are there any other sources for these downloads or any other alternative’s?

Actually, all good I found ‘Flashserver.exe’ it in the install Directory for Titan Flasher

Moved it to the folder and ran it all worked!
