Dietpi have official support BPI-M2+

Dietpi.com have official support BPI-M2+

what is Dietpi

At its core, DietPi is the goto image for your needs. Whether you are after a maximum performance minimal image, or, you want an optimized BitTorrent server with Ownlcloud running Kodi. DietPi can do it all.

All the DietPi images come pre-optimized with features like automatic filesystem expansion | “DietPi-Ramlog” (/var/log to ram) | Minimal CPU/Memory footprint and low process count to ensure you get the max performance from your device.

This would be great news. Alas, neither the BPI-M2+ or any of the other BananaPi are listed at dietpi.com. Can you please clarify?

PS: edit to clarify. I saw “June '16” as the date of this announcement and thought this meant 16th of June of last year, not June 2016 (for which I had verified dietpi.com via web.archive.org)

For those that come here like me looking for a dietpi image, dietpi.com did indeed provide official support for the BPI-M2+ back in 2016 but it was only short-lived (removed at the very beginning of 2018.

The only development and support is provided by Armbian:

Dietpi guy downloads images and sell them under different name. Since 2016 he didn’t contributed any valuable code fixes. Armbian team donate to open source software something like this every 4 months. So you can use all those boards without major problems.
