I see in the schematic that DCIN via the barrel connector can take 8-24V DC, which goes into the MT6682A as +12VD, which from another post said is a bit of a misleading name since the input can be 8-24V, so sure.
But I just want to confirm if this is the same for CN6 / VH-B2P? It seems to be, since it also ends up as +12VD, but the barrel jack has mosfets, and the USB-C only negotiates at 20V, and the docs page says VH-2Pin connector does 20V DC input, so maybe thats for a reason I’m not seeing?
So just want to confirm if I can input 8-24V on the barrel jack or the 2 pin DC input connector? Thanks
Thanks, I had seen that, but I wasn’t sure if that was only because the USB-PD chip only negotiates 20V. I guess if that was the case it wouldn’t say that for the 2-pin as well, but I don’t fully understand the schematic or the electrical reason why it has to be 20V. It sort of seems like the labeling contradicts the schematic unless I’m missing something, because they’re both the +12VD rail. But the barrel jack circuit has way more components, are one of those the reason why it can accept more voltage?
