This document will go through the work done to add initial Yocto support for the RISC-V based development board Banana Pi F3. The work was heavily based on the buildroot work done by Jesse Taube [email protected] and can be found here.
Please note that this work is a very simple and crude “conversion” from a buildroot configuration to a Yocto layer and there’s plenty that can be improved on in the future. More on that at the end of this document.
But first, let’s familiarize ourself a bit with the Banana Pi F3 development board.
