Hi, I really like btrfs+snapper on Linux systems. I’m hoping to boot OpenWrt from eMMC, mounting btrfs on root on the nvme. Still in the planning stage.
Thanks!

Well it seems like btrfs is straight up a bad idea.

There isn’t a lot of forum discussion around btrfs I could find, I’m happy I was able to turn up this OpenWrt issue.
I post it here for posterity.
PS It seems that subvol’s don’t play well with OpenWRT which sorta makes sense given (my admittedly limited) knowledge of the overlay system.
Do you know you can run Debian/Ubuntu/ArchLinuxARM or some other distros on the BPI routers? There you can install root on nvme with btrfs.
Hi Eric,
Thanks for the reply. I am aware of this option. So many amazing options with this board! I’ve decided to stick with OpenWrt for the networking stack. I can live without btrfs
is the truth of it.
