So now I am wondering if it now is supported in the kernel? Using a second cpu port?

I made some tests with arincs code some time ago…it was possible to set the dsa master (cpu port) for a userport with iproute2. I guess the changes to dsa code are now accepted. One discussion was the initial mapping for that we defined default cpu port function in mt7530 driver which chooses p6 on mt7530/1 which has mostly better throughput (trgmii on 7530,sgmii on 7531, some mt7531 have both cpu ports sgmii).

There was no automatic remapping or round-robin afair,but it can be configured in userspace.
