IMO the case is broken by design. There are several issues with it:
Overheating SoC
Overheating SFP+ (when using a rj45 module)
High noise because no EMI shielding
For the first problem, i would recommend something like [BPI-R4] Replacing sinovoip FAN from heatsink - #44 by oli - its a simple perforated aluminium metal piece: Aluminium Lochblech, Stärke 1,0 mm, Rundloch ø 3 mm, Rv 3-5 ✏️
For the second problem, there are available heat sinks available which can be cooled with an extra fan, like this: [BPI-R4] Replacing sinovoip FAN from heatsink - #22 by oli - if the fan can run at 3.3v, you could use the gpio pins (like i did), then it runs all the time but very silent.
For the high noise there is no real solution yet afaik, at the moment i have -76db which is absolutely terrible, even with “good” cables (wifi chip ↔ antenna)
