BPI-R4 which build should I choose - BE14 WiFi?

Dear Community,

I am wondering which image I should use. Currently I am using “OpenWRT MTK MP4.0 wifi SDK wifi driver for BE14000 Wifi Card” but the image for the SD card does not seem to work if SW4 is active for the WiFi module. Another problem is that “opkg update” does not work:

Collected errors:

Is there a more up-to-date version available somewhere?

Pls try mainline openwrt with inofficial patches for be14 support

The Mediatek SDK 4.0 is the only one that works somewhat properly (it has a bug that makes it not work properly with my Galaxy S24 Ultra, other devices work though) for me with the BE14000 module.

Are you setting the wifi from the MTK menu/tab in Luci? It doesn’t actually work from the wireless menu.

Unfortunately the mainstream builds don’t work with wifi7 and 6ghz for me .

Opkgs do not work from the mediatek build because it’s based on an old 21.02 build and doesn’t have wget ssl support.
