Hello,
I recently bought a Banana Pi Revision 1.1 in order to use it as my main router with OpenWRT.
I plan to add a M.2 NVMe SSD and a Wifi7 NIC once it is available and supported.
It seems there is a Revision 1.2 and I’d like to know the changes between Rev. 1.1 and 1.2
Do you know what Rev. 1.2 fixes or adds? Can I add a M.2 NVMe SSD and a Wifi7 NIC with my BPI-R4 Rev. 1.1?
Thanks for your help.

Your link points to bpi r64,not r4
Oh you’re right sorry I was looking for rev 1.1 information and then I got on this page.
Then I guess there is no Rev. 1.2 for BPI-R4 at the moment, I was scared I might encounter this kind of issue with my NVMe SSD.
Anyway I’ll try and see how it goes, thanks for your help.

You can cover the 2 pins used for i2c…have done it too without testing before if my ssd is affected (because i was scared it can damage ssd).

How to tape them? Or disable them without using soldering stuff.

This shows location of the pins to be taped…make sure you only cover these 2 pins only
Beware of NVME M2 key M. In the electrical circuit there is an I2C bus.

I got in trouble for this.
My disk is Miсron 2200 512GB.

As soon as I install it, the entire I2C bus goes down.
Not a single device is detected.
I had to cover these 2 pins with Scotch tape to solve this.
