BPI-R4 PRO 8X W6G, W5G, and W2G Leds

Hi，

These LEDs are connected to the miniPCIe socket and controlled by a miniPCIe module, such as the BPI-BE14.

It’s connected to a miniPCIe. I tried using the BE14, but it didn’t work. However, the light flashes when I connect the EC25. Therefore, it is used for runtime checks of certain modules.

When CN9 is connected to EC25, the W6G indicator light will flash. When CN7 is connected to EC25, the W5G indicator light will flash.

With mlo changes (mt76 wireless merged in 6.16,but openwrt always use latest mt76) the interfaces changed to 1 phy (previous one for each band) and only the first led was working. The others were no more used by driver.

As this happened before i got R4Pro,i had not got the leds tested here…just experience from R4

Is there a way those led’s could work with current OpenWRT with those changes on mt76 on the R4, or no chance ?

so, if the wifi card is connected to CN7 and CN9 these led don’t working. is it correct?

I found a description of an LED in the BPI document, and I think that’s it.

I don’t have extensive knowledge of software. However, if what you said is true, this could cause some LEDs to not light up. Thank you for your explanation.
