How do you drive the led-screen (kernel-modules,spidev vs. fb, app,…) and which model do you have?
6.6 kernel direct driver ,spi fbtft st7789v
Have you done dts changes and using a (self built) firmware blob? This is the way i know,but i had some issues with colors

I built the firmware myself, and the wrong color is usually a screen driver problem。 Using st7789v, basically no other modifications are required, it can be used right away
My display is without “v” (240x240) and i used firmware from daniel.

I agree having 2 threads would be better. Maybe use this as spi display thread (because of my responses) and handle the wifi in new one?
