Hello, Will the RM520N-GL module in the AP version (RM520NGLAP) work properly with bpi-r3 mini? Do I need the AA version? Thank you for your tips.
Both can be used, but the frequency bands are slightly different.
Which one does your local carrier support?

Bands are not a problem. The problem may be the interface - the AP version only supports PCIe interface only. AA has a PCIe/USB interface. If I understand the r3 mini documentation correctly, I need the AA version. Can you confirm or deny this?
Really? I don’t have an AP version , but I asked the supplier and they said it’s just a difference in bands.
R3mini does not support PCIe interface modules, so you may need to change to the AA version.

Does anyone know how to find out whether I have the AA or AP version? It doesn’t say it anywhere on the device.
The metal part of the module housing has the version designation and serial number.
Hello all, sorry for step in this thread but maybe someone can help me.
Are there some recommendations or experiences for the cables (IPX4 - SMA) to connect the antenna to the rm520n modules that fit with the banana pi r3 mini case? And if so, where to get them? Same with the antennas. I’m a little bit confused with the amount of cables and antennas.
