[BPI-R3] Combine 2.4GHz & 5GHz + external amplifier

I want to design an external board with diplexer (for combine 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz) and if possible with LNA or FEM. Is it safe to connect amplifiers without editing EEPROM? Since there is no all the necessary documentation for MTK WLAN on wiki. Also I don’t sure about diplexer, may be board already have embedded low-pass/band-pass filters on it (I didn’t find RF decoupling circuitry for board)

To use LNA/PA you will need to edit EEPROM and also connect pin for each bands RX/TX-switch signal. I don’t know if this signal is available on GPIO pins (I think no) or if you will have to find it somewhere around the wireless frontends – it may even be only available via BGA pins of the frontends burried underneath them and not exposed at all on this board…
