Hi,
how can I upgrade Kernel, Modules, uboot, etc. from “Ubuntu-16.04-mate-desktop-bpi-r2-sd-emmc-v1.2.0.img.zip 2017-09-04” to this image?
Looking forward for your reply,
Chris
Uboot, kernel and modules should be the same since official repo is not changed for some time.
You can use my uboot (same base version, but some patches for multiboot) and/or my kernels.
You can’t “upgrade” ubuntu to kali because it’s another Distribution
I have this image up and running from SD card. A couple notes to help others: UN/PW: root:bananapi
In order to update you need to run: wget -q -O - https://archive.kali.org/archive-key.asc | apt-key add
This will get rid of the key expiration error.
This uses the 4.4.70-BPI-R2-Kernel from November 28 2017.
Now, my question: This does not seem to include the ath9k kernel module. (Why build without this support?!) So, do I need to rebuild a new kernel or can I get the module from somewhere?
Thank you.
