BPI-M5 with Android system

Thanks for your reply. I did’nt install ”WorldCup Device”. Recognized by installing ”WorldCup Device”.

Thank you very much!

Well, this is one of the worst software support I ever seen.

  • Android source as a “all in one” package with no commit history, so there is no way to know where/which changes have been made and to update to newer android version (BSP is based on a very old android 9 build - android-9.0.0_r3 dated Aug 2018).
  • The WORST part, the 64 bit (armv8) build is not supported!

Stay away from this kind of product if you are interested to play with Android, take a look at the ODROIDC4 from HardKernel, its the same device, full sources are available with a much much better software support.

Hello! I bought a banana pi m5 and am enjoying the product and the Android available for it. The only thing I didn’t like was the remote control for the orange pi, which works on most boxes. Not work! Can anyone help me to get it working properly on the banana pi m5. Thank you very much in advance.

Friend August! Thank you very much for trying to help me, but I don’t know how to use android. How do I enter this programming mode? Where can I get the orange Pi generic remote control codes to be able to edit on my banana pi m5 and it will work with this control. Or can you tell me a specific model to work normally without having to change the android? Thanks in advance!

That’s the simplest way i knonw, another way is modify the android source code and build image.
