BPI-F3 mainline u-boot/opensbi support?

Hey there, I’m trying to get my BPI to use upstream u-boot/opensbi because I thought I saw it mentioned in the git comments for each. I’ve got it booting to the point that I can get to the U-boot shell

U-Boot 2026.01-00557-gd503633a3676 (Jan 16 2026 - 19:24:40 -0600)

DRAM:  8 GiB
Core: 21 devices, 9 uclasses, devicetree: separate
MMC:
Loading Environment from nowhere... OK
In:    serial@d4017000
Out:   serial@d4017000
Err:   serial@d4017000
Net:   No ethernet found.
=>

and this matches the example in U-boot’s bananpi-f3.rst, but at that point I can’t access any of the device’s storage:

=> mmc info
No MMC device available
=> nvme scan
=> nvme info
=>

Is this supported and just a configuration I’m missing or should I go back to the vendored U-boot/OpenSBI?
