BE14: Lower spec alternative for BPI-R4

Greetings,

Looking to move on from BPI-R3-mini to BPI-R4 since my house is finally getting a fiber connection in about a month. The mini has served me well with total house wifi coverage and stability but it won’t be able to handle the new connection (3 Gbps), hence the needed change.

Since I’m quite satisfied with my current wifi atm, have no need for higher wireless speed and BE14 is touch & go from what I’ve gathered at least, is there an alterative and confirmed to work wifi module? No need for wifi 7 - just similar speed and coverage as the mini.

Worst case scenario, the mini goes bridged AP but I’d rather declutter my space and go for an all in one solution if possible.

→ Wait for BPI-R4 1.3

→ AsiaRF for WIFI but read the comments.

I am using two Asia RF cards, AW7915-NP1 and AW7916-NPD. The first one is a 4T-4R single radio dual-band card which I use for the 5 GHz band, and the second one is a tri-band, dual-concurrent card which can work in 2.4 GHz + 5 GHz or 2.4 GHz + 6 GHz mode. 2T-2R in the 2.4 GHz band and 3T3R in the 5 or 6 GHz band. If you are in Europe, 524wifi is a reliable source with fast shipping.
