BananaPi-R4 Step file assembly

Hey, I’ve seen some people doing 3D printed cases for their router but no one had a 3D file of the board. So I’ve done my best to make one. (I couldn’t find 3D files of officials connectors so I’ve looked for alternatives) It should be a decent guideline for anyone planning on making another case but should be doubled checked… I’ve based my drawing on the available DXF files on the product page. I just need to figure out how to export a proper step file out of solidworks and then I’ll share the assembly with you.

Mmh ok I guess I’ll try to spend a bit more time to add as many components as possible

Please notice that the datasheets for sim slots & trays are incorrect. The correct version should be ZL-SM08-061500.pdf (350.2 KB) and ZL-KT08-061500.pdf (265.4 KB) .

This is pretty cool, thank you very much.

If we had a full 3D model of the board, maybe we could also design and manufacture and full size heatsink that covers the whole board, like those available for raspberry PIs.

Maybe @simon can help with some missing information, if he is not allowed to share the full design (due to licensing or copyright or whatever reason)?

Oh wow, first I definitely wasn’t expecting this many reactions (I have pretty bad experience with forums…) And also I wasnt planning on making a super accurate model… But if there is interest in that, I can definitely give it a try. I don’t have a board yet (planning to buy one within 6 months maybe). So I will be lacking some components heights… Which is a must have if you want to manufacture a heatsink… I’ll see what I can do, and still have to export a proper step file. I guess I’ll have to do a GitHub repo to share the assembly. I’m working with SolidWorks (that’s what I’m used to)

Oh and also as of today I’ve only chose 3D components that “looked like” the used ones as most components are chinese and don’t have 3D files… So it is not an exact replica…
