Bananapi BPI-SM9 Sophon CPU + NPU

Hello. Can you anybody has this model? I switched pin to boot from SD but there is only black screen on monitor 1920x1080. Iam doing according to this site GettingStarted_BPI-SM9 | BananaPi Docs instructions. Also OTG typeC burn image does not work. Can banana team provide better documentation or img system

What kind of image is stored on your SD card? It seems that there is no SD card boot function on the official website, but an SD card can be used to upgrade the EMMC image.

The official website’s documents will be further improved in the future.

The last /data partition had wrong amount and was fat32 not ext4. There was an error /data partition could be mounted ob debug mode. I deleted the last data partition. Made it in fdidk and format as ext4. Everything in debug mode. And then system works.

I found some user manuals for SM9 on the official website. However, this one is in Chinese. Maybe you can understand it by translating it. Hope this is helpful to you.

Hi guy, I have the same problems. I download the 工具.zip from google driver, unzip and then copy everything in the sdcard folder into my sd card. Then I insert the sdcard and power on. The typeC usb port is connected to my host and the HDMI port is connected to my screen. There is nothing, my host computer cannot detect the COM port and the screen is black. What can I do next? Any suggestion?

You have to enter sbc to debug mode. Described on wiki. Then delete the last /data partition. Make it once again as ext4. Then system boots and works.
