Heyo, I got my BPR4 a few months back, and it’s been rocking in my homelab until recently when I had to disconect it from power; at the time I had AdGuard Home running on it, so when later I was getting no DNS queries, I immediately went to investigate via the GUI, however that never loaded either. I thought that was strange but nothing a quick reflash with a fresh image, right? I was procrastinating setting up vlans so thats exactly what I did! Using a USB uart thingy, I dumped the image from SD to Nand, then Nand to eMMC.
Now here’s where I may have screwed up, since I’m quite inexperienced and still learning, I thought I’d try creating some vlans (incorectly) which lead to me, again, reimaging the emmc… a few times! So here’s where I’m at now:
I try to set a custom local IP from my lan, this was no issue before, but now when I try to save and commit, it times out and begins to rollback the changes, that unfortunately doesn’t happen no matter how long I wait, look at the serial interface, the unit isn’t frozen it just seems like it stops communicating with the web GUI. Turning the BPR4 off results in a succesful rollback.
Am I doing something wrong? What should I do? Also I don’t entirely think I understand the uart U-Boot for example if I were to screw up like I have been doing, how would you go about using the recovery system on the eMMC (I assume)?
Any info would be greatly helpfull!
