It seems that you can reset the stick easier without UART.

What I meant was running omci/onu software on the R3/R4, perhapse a combo like:

Firmware M110_sfp_ODI_210702 does not connect to Banana R4 in openwrt-snapshot. I launched openwrt 21.02, configured GPON in M110_sfp_ODI_210702, then switched to the second firmware (nv setenv sw_commit 1 && nv setenv sw_active 1 && reboot), updated to M114_sfp_ODI_hybrid_221209, GPON settings were picked up automatically from the first firmware. M114_sfp_ODI_hybrid_221209 works with autoneg off, configured bridge-internet at M114 and everything works. Other firmwares except M110_sfp_ODI_210702 do not work independently with my provider.
