The firmware for maxlinear switch driver is out and work. What next?
In githab i saw:
an update for aeonsemi phy (i use upported downstream driver) mux changes (mtk_eth + mxl driver) which should be based on phy-port patches from maxime (in my repo modified downstream change) usxgmii pcs and serdes support patches (afaik these are in openwrt,so you could support the sfp when adding the eth-mux changes)
Where i can see resolve the problems? What about time for fix the problems?

There is no resolve yet as i still use downstream driver for as21 in my repo and not tested again upstream driver again (which was bot working in my last tests and got no response that anything changed regarding this).
Maximes patches have not reached the mux part yet but it also can be solved with overlays like i did in my 7.2 tree but still depend on phy driver.

In my repo there is no iphy-overlay…it is named wan-2g5 currently
But thinking renaming to wan-phy to be more similar to 8x

Imho this is unused.
Please share complete bootup log so we can see if the overlay is applied. Have not yet tested the 4e overlays as i focused on basic bootup first and the 8x. I got overlays from another user before i got my 4e board

No wan overlay loaded here…so i guess botconf_extra does not contain its name
But the wan overlays are there.
So make sure bootconf_extra is set correctly before booting (printenv before selecting the default menu entry).

The /etc/config/network is the issue, and hence why I commented on that pull request saying that the generated /etc/config/network is incorrect for, at least, the Pro 4E board.

Why do you think you need the airoha driver? The phy of 4e is the internal mtk phy… Imho you have to just enable the overlay…
But it seems you have the overlay now loaded…
It looks like the phy driver or firmware is missing…we can compare with the r4 poe board which uses the same phy here
