Hi i am having issue on saving the packages on BPI-R3 and also was not able to install the UQMI packages . Any suggestion . I used the openwrt packages from the following link and it is loaded on emmc . I could not not find the kmod packages too.
Do you use snapshot or vendor image?
used the snapshot from following link https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org/?version=SNAPSHOT&target=mediatek%2Ffilogic&id=bananapi_bpi-r3
I was looking at the opkg config and found this link was feed on distfeeds.conf but there is no such path when tried to get there https://downloads.openwrt.org/releases/21.02-SNAPSHOT/targets/mediatek/mt7986/packages Is this creating the issue.
Did you initially install OpenWrt using a microSD card? I’m asking this because it is necessary to replace the bootloader. Just installing OpenWrt snapshot via sysupgrade
or LuCI Web-UI when running the image from SinoVoip will not result in a working system.
I think i did it from UBoot tftp and put the jumper switch in emmc mode .
So you need to be running the bootloader image provided by OpenWrt based on vanilla U-Boot. The only (reasonably easy) way to install it is using a microSD card. Did you do that? See also Banana Pi BPI-R3 OpenWRT image
