Banana pi m5 doesn't start (no leds)

Hello,

I received some times ago a banana Pi M5, I followed a tutorial to load Armbian on the SD card (https://youtu.be/A4PflbMusSQ), I chose the correct board, everything seems fine. With the SD card on the M5, when a connect the USB C charger and the HDMI port on it, I have nothing on the screen, not a single leds ON (no red Led nothing). I contacted the after sale, they told me it was an issue with the boot on the SD. But even without the Boot I would expect a power led ON. (The USB C charger works fine with other devices) Is it really an issue with the configuration on the SD or an issue with the board?

Thanks, Clément

powering with PD capable PSU is not possible. It has to be dumb 5V

Your USB charger might be the issue. I use this (5V, 3.4A) to power on three of my BPi-M5. No power issue so far. I don’t think they have it in Amazon US but there could be other similar products available.
