Banana BPI-R64 OpenWrt kernel 5.4 image

Hi, recently I purchased BPI-R64 and I would like to run OpenWrt with Home Assistant there.

I downloaded an image but it has an old kernel and it does not allow me to install docker there. I tried to upgrade using LuCI and sysupgrade but broke the kernel.

Is there a recent image for OpenWrt with kernel 5.4 somewhere that I can use to flash to the sd card and install it into the device and start from there?

Or can you advise me on how to get the home assistant running on BPI-R64? Thanks!

Hello, I’ve compiled the latest version of OpenWRT for my R64 board and flashed it to eMMC. The problem is, that i don’t get an option to create a target other then ramdisk. This is very inconvenient, since every time the board is reset the OpenWRT settings are also reset. I was wondering is there a way to fix it and have a normal squashfs partition instead of a ramdisk image being unpacked every time its booted.
