Are you want Banana Pi BPI-R4 8GB RAM version

Where can I order the 8GB version from Germany?

It’s not listed there, the 4GB R4 is also missing.

It is a ā€œGermanā€ problem … :

Oh, got it! I guess @sinovoip has to add the stock manually, hopefully they’ll do it soon.

in the official version of openwrt 24.10.0 8gb of RAM is not supported, only 4gb is displayed. If you take the version from the bananapi portal, namely BPI-R4-8G-BE1350-WIFI_MP4_1-SDK-20240318 (Only for BPI-R4-8G 8G RAM version, cannot use on BPI-R4-4G 4G ram version), then the memory is displayed normally, but packages for loading via opkg are not available, since the version is outdated and they do not exist on openwrt resources.

Give us a bit time to get 8g support running…basicly 4gb ram schould work and for 8gb you have to replace bl2 only

I don’t quite understand what bl2 you’re talking about, since I’m a teapot. If I’m currently using the official OpenWRT, which detects my memory as 4gb, will I be able to update in the future without problems via Sysupgrade and see my 8gb of memory, or will I have to flash it again?

Here’s the link to the post explaining the steps to get OpenWRT 24.10 running with 8GB of RAM recognized:
