I might as well add some instructions. The bottom of the case has space for a 150mm x 100mm aluminum/copper plate to help with heat spreading of the wifi chip and enough space for a M2 drive cooler that can conveniently sit on top. In practice it wasn’t really necessary for cooling. The fan used is the one on 4090 GPU. Case is printed on an A1 mini with PETG.

I also made a case with internal antennas before this which is much smaller profile, white part is ceramic. Uses a 8010 fan. Signal wasn’t the greatest though and I also couldn’t find a suitable antenna for 6GHz, might take another look when BE19 is available.

Nice idea! Maybe add an mesh on top of the fan? (… you know … cat/dog/kid paw prevention  )

It’s certainly possible and simple to implement as the current design is purely out of aesthetics where I have the luxury of not needing to deal with these “hazards”

I made couple internal antenna enclosures for R4 before which did not have these issues.

Do you plan to share your model files on thingiverse/printables/… ? Would be fantastic to give it a shot.

Thanks :+1:

This is the best 3D printed case for the BRP-R4 that I’ve found. It’s fantastic how it combines cooling performance with aesthetic appeal.

Could you please upload it to platforms like the global region of Makerworld or Printable? On makerworld.cn, downloading requires membership registration, and it seems a Chinese phone number is necessary.

The message “未登录状态下最多可下载五个模型,请登录后享受更多权益”(error) always appears. Even after changing IP addresses or browser agents, this message always displays, making downloads somewhat difficult for users outside China.

Thanks for the reply. I have edited the post to include a link to global makerworld.
