Wear-leveling etc on the emmc BPI-R2

Is the on board emmc device doing it’s own wear-leveling (just like SD cards) or does it require having something like jffs2 running on top of it like the other MTD devices?

Hello, it’s the common interface，FTL provide wear-leveling，bad block management and ECC. FTL is also support our eMMC.

OK, great thank you for the information. I’m glad it has FTL so that means that jffs2 on top of squashfs in the openwrt from @garywang repository is not really needed. That’s great news.
